Pokerface
DVD videoinstallation 14.10 Min. (2002)
In the art work Pokerface (2002) different
divergent voices are presented that tell their stories of ”the
other”, stories of an individual or maybe several different
individuals. From different positions in the space created by the
video installation this was described by different subjects, different
actors, on the basis on at least the alleged different experiences
and perceptions of the world. For the viewer the character of the
person talked about appears sometimes clear and transparent and sometimes
compliant and contradictory. This dialectic is not only recurrent
in the structure where the actors sometimes appear authentic and convincing,
sometimes exaggerating, conciliatory – acting.
