The video works are based on the idea of a collage
where throughout the video, the actions occurring
are presented in layer upon layer. This is true both
when it comes to the time aspect as well as
situations occurring throughout the film, when
the story has multiple directions to go. What is
being told is therefore not unequivocal. The video
material is a collage of pictures, sound, image
fragments that the artist himself has made as
well as discovered in archives or encountered
through other sources. When all of these elements
are brought together the artist idea is to create a
video work that relates to how the individual
assemble small pieces and pictures one by one, to
create a subjective version of reality. The pieces
can be viewed upon as a reflection made by an
individual, but one that conceals their own thoughts
and rather present it as general motifs.
